A single camera can have 2, 10, or even more lenses, capturing different directions simultaneously. The resulting images can overlap and blend freely, or be carefully planned\u2014allowing for panoramic photography, stereoscopy, or even animation.<\/p>\n<p>In this workshop, we\u2019ll dive into the basics of pinhole photography and start building. You\u2019ll create several multi-lens cameras with distinct behaviors\u2014and design your own along the way. Then we\u2019ll put them to use, making a series of experimental exposures on black-and-white photographic paper.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop grows out of my project \u201cPINANIMA\u201d and the cameras developed within it. It\u2019s an invitation to experiment together in a DIY spirit. We\u2019ll keep things simple: build, expose, develop, digitize\u2014and enjoy what happens along the way.<\/p>\n<p><b>PROGRAM<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Projection in a camera obscura and the principles of building multi-lens cameras (20-minute introduction)<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Designing cameras using ready-made boxes, tubes, and cans (60 minutes)<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Short walks outside with the finished cameras \u2013 exposing and developing paper negatives (45 minutes)<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Digitizing the images \u2013 viewing the positives! Wrap-up (30 minutes)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>No prior experience in pinhole photography or analog processes is required.
