Inside the Camera, Together

‘Obscura Team’ will build a fully immersive, walk-in, room-sized camera obscura, offering visitors a unique hands-on experience of one of the oldest imaging techniques in history. Step inside and witness the magic of light and optics in action!

During the event, we will try to capture this fleeting image by exposing it onto light-sensitive paper—we hope you’ll join in. At the same time, outside, we’ll invite you to take part in open-ended pre-photographic activities. You’ll be able to choose between a disorienting walk using pinhole goggles and drawing portraits with the help of a camera lucida.

‘Obscura Team’ is a group of students actively exploring light and expanding the definition of photography in classes led by Paweł Kula at the Department of Photography at the Academy of Art in Szczecin.
