The exhibition Under the Rug turns its gaze toward the overlooked and the invisible – personal emotions, social taboos, and collective blind spots. In an era dominated by digital imagery, analogue photography has evolved its language – with new forms, hybrid processes, and unexpected perspectives. Under the Rug sheds light on subjects that often go unnoticed or are intentionally pushed to the margins – whether intimate truths, toxic realities, or cultural mechanisms of suppression. The works move between documentation and interpretation, between closeness and distance – and ask: What remains unseen? And why?
