The analogueNow! – Festival for Analog Photography returns for its second edition in 2016! From May 6th to May 14th, the halls of the shipping company Ullrich transform into a vibrant hub for contemporary analog photography in all its forms. With exhibitions, hands-on workshops, and plenty of space to exchange ideas, the festival invites photography enthusiasts to explore, create, and connect. The excitement surrounding analog photography is stronger than ever—last year’s edition drew around a thousand visitors, proving that this art form continues to inspire. GROUP EXHIBITIONS

MANIPULATION

Eleven artists showcase their works in the group exhibition Manipulation, highlighting the diverse approaches to altering the photographic process. Standout pieces include Ute Lindner’s cyanotype—a massive 12-by-6-meter display of brilliant blue—and Georgia Krawiec’s stereoscopes, which hang suspended from the ceiling.

The photobookNOW! exhibition features a wide selection of innovative photo books, reflecting the growing trend of creating and self-publishing photo books.

ANALOG PHOTOGRAPHY INTERNATIONAL

WORKSHOPS & LIVE DEMOS

Visitors have the opportunity to participate in hands-on workshops, designed for both beginners and darkroom professionals. These workshops provide practical guidance and the chance to experiment with new techniques, while expert tips help deepen understanding of analog photography. The sunny May weather provides the perfect backdrop for creating personal analog art. In addition to photographs, films are shot, developed, and later screened at the Super8 Film Evening.

Photographers can have their work reviewed by experts at the Portfolio Review. The photo editing alumni from Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie offer valuable advice on how to continue or expand their projects.
