PHOTOWEEKEND 2017
October 13 – 15, 2017
B.L.O. Ateliers
Kaskelstraße 55, 10317 Berlin
After two successful analogueNOW! festivals, we are bringing back the PhotoWeekend! The BLO-Ateliers transform into a hub for analog photography, connecting photographers, enthusiasts, and creative minds. As always, the event is all about community, inspiration, and hands-on experiences.
From Friday to Sunday, visitors can take part in Show & Tell rounds, workshops, portfolio reviews, a network brunch, concerts, and more—all while meeting like-minded people. The PhotoWeekend offers the perfect opportunity to explore new trends, exchange ideas, and connect with the analog photography scene.
Join us at analogueNOW!’s PhotoWeekend and immerse yourself in the world of analog photography! Don’t miss out—mark your calendar and be part of the experience!
What’s in the program?
PicSharing – SHARE AND RECEIVE ART
At the opening ceremony, we welcome the PicSharing Festival from Barcelona, where participants exchange analog photos in a Secret Santa-style event—everyone gives away a piece of their work and receives a new one in return!
WORKSHOPS – LEARN & EXPERIMENT
Workshops are the heart of the PhotoWeekend. From camera basics to experimental techniques like developing with Caffenol, we offer sessions for both beginners and experts, helping you expand your analog skills.
SHOW & TELL – THE STORIES BEHIND THE IMAGES
Selected through an open call, 24 artists present their analog projects, offering insights into their creative processes and engaging in lively discussions with the audience.
PORTFOLIO REVIEWS – GET PROFESSIONAL FEEDBACK
Photographers and artists can receive constructive feedback from experienced photo experts, gaining valuable insights to refine their work.
NETWORK BRUNCH – CONNECT & COLLABORATE
At our network brunch, industry professionals, independent artists, and photography lovers come together to exchange ideas and build new collaborations.
WORK IN PROGRESS – LIVE DEMOS
Creative minds of analog photography take the stage to showcase their current projects. We are particularly pleased to welcome the Schlomographen, who present their own instant image process, the Schlomoroids. In addition, Jasper Eikmeier introduces his open-source Afghan Camera, a new project by Boxolab. After that, it’s time for the Lumenbox—a special pinhole camera that creates analog images using only photographic paper and water. Meanwhile, Paperlabapp provides our very own festival family album in the yard, capturing memories in true analog style.
Analog Crowdfunding – Support the Community
By participating in our crowdfunding initiative, visitors can directly contribute to the volunteer work of Click e.V., the association behind analogueNOW!, ensuring more events and projects in the future.
